There are several programs that we currently offer: 40-hour Vehicle Extrication, 16-hour School Bus Extrication, 16-hour Team Competition Training, 3-hour SRS (Supplemental Restraint Systems), Customized Refresher classes in 4hr, 8hr, 16hr, 24hr, or 40hr blocks tailored to your department’s needs. We are also one of the few organizations in the State of Florida that offers the FL-USAR 80-hr VMR Operation and Technician Level Certification. In our 40-hour Vehicle Extrication Program students are taught basic fundamentals and structure; building up to ‘putting-it-all-together’ with scenario-based evolutions that are composed of real-life situations faced everyday in the streets. The 40-hr program is designed to bring the student from an awareness level to an operations level in compliance to the NFPA 1670 Standard. This is a challenging and rewarding program that once completed, can immediately be applied to existing/developing departmental protocols dealing with vehicle accidents, extrication, and safety. This is an opportunity to take the department to a higher level of skill for providing/bringing the best patient care to the community and safety for the personnel. In the 16-hr School Bus program topics covered include; design, construction, and hands-on extrication of school buses incorporating scenario based evolutions. This is a technician level program in compliance to NFPA 1670. Our 16-hr Team Competition Training program is an in-depth look at how to prepare for extrication competitions. Teams/students will learn sanction rules/regulations and what the judges look for. In the hands-on session, teams will critique each other utilizing actual judges score sheets. The 3-hr SRS (Supplemental Restraint Systems) program is a classroom-based course designed to give the rescuer an in-dept look at vehicle SRS components, hybrids, and new safety technology associated with them. We can also customize a class for your agency. Tell us what you would like and we will come up with the program tailored just for you. All programs are approved and accredited by the State of Florida Bureau of Fire Standards and Training, which will award CEU’s for each hour of attendance. Our programs are also endorsed by the following companies: TNT Hydraulics, Milwaukee Power tools, Ajax Pneumatics, Galls Inc., Mechanix Wear Extrication Gloves, Rescue Resources Inc., Rescue 42 Stabilization Struts, Z-Mag Ground Pads, Cepco Tool’s Res-Q-Jack Stabilization System, High-Lift Jack Co., and ESS Extrication Goggles.
