Qualitative (Needs) Analysis Studies PDF Print E-mail

Our attention to detail has lead us to aid in determining departmental needs and weaknesses that may have been ongoing for some time. Correcting these issues may lead to many benefits to both the agency as well as the employees.

The qualitative analysis process is series of activities conducted to identify problems or other issues in the workplace and to determine whether Training, Problem-solving, Reenginering, Reorganization, Renovation are an appropriate response. A qualitative analysis is usually the first in a series of steps implemented to encourage effective change. This is mainly because an analysis specifically defines the gaps between current and desired organizational and individual performances.

When properly done, a qualitative analysis is a wise investment for a fire department. It saves time, money, and effort by working on finding solutions to organizational problems. The objective of the qualitative analysis is to get employees to work at optimal levels, therefore maximizing safety to firefighters and the community, and reducing the loss of life and property.

The process includes defining the needs and identifying the performance gaps, researching and evaluating all relevant data, analyzing the data and determining the appropriate courses of action to be taken, and reporting the findings with recommendations. We will be perpetually engaged in an open and fiduciary dialogue with all the department’s internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with the City’s values and the department’s mission, goals, and objectives.
